Help Paying The Bills contains service and contact information for over 14,000 free and low cost medical and dental clinics throughout the United States. Additionally, it provides access to housing and food resources, as well as veteran and senior services.
The website has a Wordpress front end that piggybacks a separate back-end process which generates data-driven screens from a separate database.
There is also an enhancement for clinic searches in the state of Texas, that provides clinics in neighboring towns in the event a selected town doesn't have a clinic; using a GPS distance algorithm, similar to the one used by GOOGLE maps. Enhancements were added to the back-end processing of clinic searches in the state of Texas to include clinics in neighboring towns within radii of 10, 20, and 30 mile of the selected towns that don't have clinics; using a GPS distance algorithm similar to the one used by GOOGLE maps.

Going into this project, we had the challenge of getting 8,500 unorganized, print quality photos onto the website, in a timely manner. We developed a module that first significantly reduced the size of each file for a faster load time, then stored it on the website. This cut the processing time per image from 3 minutes, using a manual method, to less than 10 seconds. A single employee at Alexander Supply was able to upload photos of over 8,500 items in less than 2 months; while continuing to perform his normal sales support duties.

Unlike Alexander Supply, Blinky's targeted the retail market. This required a different organization
and
presentation of merchandise, as well as extra care to ensure that each category and individual item
was
indexed by search engines.
